Strand Lighting Technical Training Program

Dealer Technical Training (DTT)

This 3-day program is designed for those who work for dealers that will answer calls from end users regarding existing systems.  The course includes basic troubleshooting for PL fixtures and provides an understanding of Strand Lighting system functionality and troubleshooting. This introduces the equipment and how it works together so the dealer tech can answer client questions and have basic on-site skills.  This course is required for all Philips Strand Lighting dealers.

Contact Maggie Bailey for registration forms and required tools and equipment for DTT course.

Factory Certified Technician Training (FCT)

This 5-day program is designed for dealer technicians or independent technicians (independents must be approved by Strand field service prior to enrollment) for the purpose of commissioning new systems.  The course covers startup, programming, and troubleshooting of Selecon PL fixtures and Strand dimming and control equipment.  Topics include: Selecon PL fixtures, Strand Lighting Contact, A21, R21, S21, C21, N21, and VisionNet equipment.  Programs include DimmerNet, Pathport Manager, Flash Magic, Designer Flash, VisionNet, and C21 programming using Google Chrome.   Factory Certified Technicians (FCTs) must return to the factory every two years to Returning FCT training to maintain active certification.

Contact Maggie Bailey for registration forms and required tools and equipment for the FCT course.

Returning FCT Training (RFCT)

This 3-day course is required every two years once a person passes the FCT course.  This course covers advanced programming techniques, changes to existing equipment or new equipment released since the previous course, and includes a roundtable discussion with factory personnel to give the FCTs the ability to help improve existing equipment, change factory practices to improve FCT experience onsite, and also help guide development of new equipment and practices.

Contact Maggie Bailey for registration forms and required tools and equipment for the RFCT course.
