    THEATRE SYSTEM DESIGN BASICS – (60 minutes)

    This course introduces key fixture offerings for theatres, basic lighting design for schools, how to put a system together, dimming/relay options, choosing the right architectural control and theatrical control and looks at cost comparison between LED and tungsten.

     

    THEATRE SYSTEM SPECIFICATION AND COMMISSIONING – (60 minutes)

    This course is for reps, specifiers and engineers to get a better understanding of what is required of a school auditorium’s lighting system, including how to understand and specify the right equipment and the information needed for commissioning.

    VISION.NET OVERVIEW - (60 minutes)

    This course explains how Strand Vision.Net can be engineered for your application. Learn Vision.Net features, basic system architecture, sensor applications and how it integrates with the NEO theatrical control system.

    NEO CONSOLE OVERVIEW - (60 minutes)

    This is a sales overview that discusses how the Strand NEO Console thinks as an entertainment system controller. Learn all the components of a theatrical controller like patch, channel control, cues, groups, subs, effects and more. This course covers all products in the NEO Series.

    THEATRICAL CONTROL CONCEPTS - (60 minutes)

    This is an entry level class that discusses entertainment-based control concepts and how to go about laying out control for a theatrical system for a typical school environment.

    NEO CONSOLE TRAINING – ENTRY LEVEL - (3 hours)

    This training class covers all basic operation for NEO consoles and is oriented toward new users that require the ability to light theatre, music events, dance, meetings, assemblies, church services, TV studios and more. This course will get you up and running in no time. As this course occurs online, the user can acquire training for NEO, NEO PC or the NEO Playback Controller.

     

    Entry Level Prerequisite: Basic understanding of theatrical lighting concepts. However, no prior console experience is necessary. This can be attained by taking the Theatrical Controls Concepts online class.

     

    NEO CONSOLE TRAINING – INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - (3 hours)

    Take your Neo training to the next level. This training class covers more advanced operation for NEO consoles and is oriented toward experienced users that require the ability to light theatre, music events, dance, meetings, assemblies, church services, TV studios and more. This course will advance your knowledge in no time. As this course occurs online, the user can acquire training for NEO, NEO PC or the NEO Playback Controller.

     

    Intermediate Prerequisite: NEO Entry Level training or equivalent. This can be attained by taking the NEO Console Training (Entry Level) online class.

    STRAND DIMMING AND POWER DISTRIBUTION - (60 minutes)

    This technical course covers Strand dimming and relay technology and products for systems design.

     

    STRAND POWER AND DATA PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE SPACES - (60 minutes)

    This technical course covers system design in performance spaces, including Strand dimming and relay technology, DMX and Ethernet data distribution, and more.

    LIGHTING DESIGN FOR THE HOUSE OF WORSHIP – (60 minutes)
    This course discusses the basics of lighting design as it applies to houses of worship.  Learn principles of design, theatrical lighting standards, TV lighting principles and concert lighting techniques as they apply to  all types of religious services.


    BROADCAST LIGHTING FOR THE HOUSE OF WORSHIP  - (60 minutes)
    This session will explain how lighting can achieve great looking video without breaking the bank. Learn the basics from the camera's perspective by using a few well-placed fixtures and careful color selection. The right planning can bring your architectural and stage lighting looks to broadcast quality without compromising the service.

    STRAND 01: THEATRICAL CONTROL CONCEPTS: How a Theatrical Console Thinks (1.00 LU)
    Discusses entertainment lighting communication protocol standards and the underlying concepts of a theatrical lighting console. This course defines DMX and discusses other ethernet based protocols as well as the inherent console items and provides examples of how they are used.

    STRAND 02: THEATRE SYSTEMS DESIGN BASICS: The Future Is Now (1.00 LU)

    Discusses criteria needed for designing a theatrical space and the programming needs of a typical educational performance space. This course discusses the requirements for all necessary entertainment lighting components as well as holistic requirements for the performance lighting system.

    STRAND 03: SPECIFICATIONS AND COMMISSIONING OF PERFORMANCE SPACES (1.00 LU)
    Discusses the performance space specification process from concept to implementation. This course takes the attendee through identifying the programming of a performance space through the completion of the commissioning to the end user’s satisfaction.

    STRAND 04: POWER AND DATA PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE SPACES (1.00 LU)

    Discusses the dimming, relay, power and data applications for performance spaces from retrofit to new construction. This course takes the attendee through identifying the needs of the space based upon fixture inventory, design layout and programming requirements of the performance spaces needs to provide distributed power and data.

    TRENDS IN LIGHTING CONTROL: A CHAT WITH PAUL KRIZAN - (60 minutes)
